Disney+ Is Launching On All Major Streaming Platforms Except Amazon

Disney+ will be offered everywhere, except Amazon

Disney is already flexing all of its brands on Twitter with a hilarious Disney+ thread that has gone viral. The Disney+ social media accounts were all launched on Monday morning, starting an advertising campaign that made for one of Twitter’s most ambitious crossover events.

But that’s not all the news; Disney recently announced that it’s streaming service will be available on popular platforms and devices such as Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Android, Android TV, PlayStation 4, Roku and Xbox One. However, Disney+ will not be available on Fire TV devices when it launches.

Users will be available to subscribe to Disney+ directly or via in-app purchases once the service launches in November.

It is said that Disney+ is aiming to compete with rivals, which include Netflix, Apple, and Amazon, so there are plans to launch content from the Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar and Disney brands. There will also be “re-imagined” content such as “Home Alone,” “Night at the Museum,” “Cheaper by the Dozen” and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.”

Currently, the service will cost $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year. Disney+ will become available in Canada and the Netherlands on launch day while Australia and New Zealand will get the service a week later.
