Europe’s First Pokémon Center To Open In London

UK Pokémon trainers prepare you Pokémon for battle!

The new Pokémon games Sword and Shield are coming out this Christmas and like every new entry, they are inspired by a different real-world country. In this particular case, it’s the UK’s turn to be the point of influence. So, if you are a British Pokémon fan or even just a tourist visiting the UK, the Westfield London shopping center in Shepherd’s Bush is getting the first-ever Pokémon Center in Europe.

Pokémon Centers first started in Japan, selling unique and original merchandise at the stores. Now, there are currently 12 centers in Japan, but only four in the U.S. and one in Singapore.

Excitingly, the UK has finally been added to the list, but unfortunately, the Pokémon Center in London is only a pop-up Center that will be open from October 18 to November 15, which is the day of Pokémon Sword/Shield’s release.

No news on whether the merchandise will be exclusive, London-only has been reported, but Pokémon fans can still expect a plethora of Pikachu merchandise. Further details on opening times, additional in-store activities and products that will be available for purchase at the location will be unveiled in the coming months.
