The New Action Flick For The Summer
A new star-studded film is heading to theaters and it is time to plan movie night.
Rian Johnson’s first movie after directing and writing “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” will be released for the big screen, but to give expectant viewers a little sneak peek, a trailer for the movie, titled “Knives Out” has been released and it looks like a ‘whodunit’ film.
The trailer opens with a couple of detectives, played by Daniel Craig (“James Bond”) and Lakeith Stanfield (“Sorry to Bother You”) visiting a manor in where a death has occurred. From the reveal, a family has gathered for their patriarch’s 85th birthday, but like any classic mystery, things go south real fast. In typical murder mystery fashion, the family is filled with odd characters, secrets and strained relationships.
According to the official movie synopsis:
“When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is mysteriously enlisted to investigate. From Harlan’s dysfunctional family to his devoted staff, Blanc sifts through a web of red herrings and self-serving lies to uncover the truth behind Harlan’s untimely death.”
“Knives Out” is truly the star-studded movie we needed as it stars Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, Katherine Langford, Noah Segan, Edi Patterson, Riki Lindhome, Jaeden Martell, and Christopher Plummer.
