CBD Coffee In Miami
Who needs drugs when you can get your fix on what tourists refer to as “Cuban cocaine”? The sweet, nectary shot of espresso is what truly keeps the city running — and it’s just enough to trigger episodes of road rage and give you that last boost of energy at work.
But now a Florida company has introduced a brand of Cuban coffee that is infused with cannabis. Meant to take the edge off, the CBD Cuban coffee will not make drinkers high because it contains only CBD, the non-psychoactive compound proven to reduce anxiety.
“We call it cafecito con calma,” Hector Mendez, co-founder of Coldfire Roasters, said. Coldfire Roasters was founded earlier this year in Tampa. Despite many thinking that Miami is the Cuban coffee scene, Tampa actually has its own Cuban culture, and in fact, it far recedes Miami’s, going back to the turn of the 20th Century when Cubans worked in the Gulf Coast city’s tobacco industry.
So as a way of combining both the rich, dark, and bold flavors of Cuban coffee with the holistic health benefits of CBD, Coldfire Roasters’ Cuban espresso includes about 10 mg of CBD (which is tasteless). According to those that have already tried it, it delivers that mental alertness and focus without the jitters.
