This is not your typical Craigslist car ad.
Rob Comeau, a film maker from Newmarket, Ontario, has tried to sell his 2010 Nissan Altima on Craigslist and Kijiji for over a year with no serious offers.
To change his luck, Rob enlisted his friend, Chris Hau (who also happened to be a Toronto-based producer) to help him create a slick, professional looking commercial for his well-loved and gently-used vehicle.
Guy makes epic commercial to sell old car!
My buddy Rob’s been trying to sell his car for over a year now, so we made this kinda over-the-top car commercial to see if we can get a few offers on the table! Tag your friend’s that are in the market for a new car… or just need a good laugh 🙂

The result is a gorgeous, 80-second spot complete with swinging crane shots, scenic highway drives through the beautiful Canadian countryside and a smooth voice over to tell you about all the car’s incredible features.
As the commercial states, the car is fully equippped with windsheild wipers (and a windsheild), gas input and output, four wheels, radio and some sort of compartment.
“The car obviously comes with one, and only one steering wheel, and five seat belts for all five seats,” Comeau said in an email to Mashable.
“But it’s also equipped with heated seats, power seats/windows, a sun roof, Bose sound system and has under 90,000 km on it,” he added. That’s only about 56,000 miles (for any potential American customers out there).
If you’re wondering why Comeau would let such a beauty go, don’t worry. This car isn’t a lemon.
“I would like to upgrade to a 4-door,” he said. “The car I have now has been great, and it is in great condition. Sadly, I have to let it go as I would like to upgrade to a vehicle with more space.”
Since releasing the commercial on Feb. 9, Comeau has received many more interested buyers, “but nothing set in stone,” he said. He has yet to buy a new car.
