Mirren wants people to see makeup as a tool to feel your best instead of focusing on how it makes you look.
Traditional beauty standards leave people focusing on how they look instead of using it to express how they feel. Mirren believes it’s important to look as good as you feel like an expression of emotion rather than for cosmetic purposes.
Mirren says, There are a tiny minority of people in the world who are absolutely beautiful… The rest of us are in a different category. So I don’t think we should try to look beautiful. We should try to look like ourselves and present that in the best way possible.”
L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Makeup is the brand’s first makeup collection designed for women over 50 and they knew Mirren would be the perfect woman for their spokesmodel. Mirren thinks that Age Perfect is the best name possible because people want to be the best they can be at any stage of life.
