Jason Momoa Eyeing Role In Marvel Cinematic Universe

Aquaman Is Converting From DC Comics To Marvel

Jason Momoa’s breakout role came in “Game of Thrones” and he eventually went on to star in DC’s “Aquaman” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” His role in “Justice League” made him a more substantial character in the DC Extended Universe. However, Momoa has got his eye on a specific role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The actor admitted he would love to play Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Wolverine. Oh, I’d love to play Wolverine,” Momoa shared with the crowd at Celebrity Fan Fest in San Antonio. The actor revealed he grew up watching Hugh Jackman and when he retired from the role, Momoa noted, “He was phenomenal. I grew up just loving Wolverine.”

Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox is one of the biggest deals in media, and it would allow the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and various other Marvel characters owned by the studio to be incorporated into future Marvel Studios films.

Before debuting in the DCU, Momoa was in talks to play Drax in James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy.” However, Momoa turned it down because he said he wasn’t interested in playing another brutish character at that point in his career.
