“Supernatural” star moving into music

After years of just performing for fans at conventions and at panels for “Supernatural” fans, star of the show, Jensen Ackles is finally making his singing official!

Ackles and fellow musician Steve Carlson make up Radio Company, a collaboration that was formed in 2018. The two have been writing and performing together for nearly 15 years, and while they were roommates in Los Angeles, the two developed a shorthand in writing music together.

When the two relocated to Austin, TX, they decided to form Radio Company. They recently recorded their debut album at the legendary Arlyn Studios.

The duo’s debut album includes other musicians such as Chris Masterson, Bukka Allen, Warren Hood and Brian Standefer.

Now, after many years, the two have finally completed their debut album, titled “Radio Company Vol. 1.” Their first single, “Sounds of Someday” is already available on iTunes, but the album will be released in its entirety on Nov. 8. The group has also shared a number of their tracks on Instagram.

Ackles is best known for playing Dean Winchester on the beloved CW series “Supernatural,” which is currently in its fifteenth and final season. Carlson wrote and co-directed the 2014 Rockumentary “Different Town.”
