If you watch Black-ish, you know that the kids are the show’s real stars. In a new promo, Zoey (Yara Shahidi) tells her younger siblings that they should make a viral video — one that happens to casually feature Kendrick Lamar.
Lamar raps out “Alright” with his signature speed and precision as the Johnson family dances and mouths along in the promo. It’s full of trippy jump cuts, dancing and family fun, as well as the fabulous image of Lamar eating out of a giant bowl, unperturbed by the silliness surrounding him.
The rapper has been busy, having recently debuted a new song on The Tonight Show and collaborating on “No More Parties in LA” with Kanye West. May we suggest a full-length video with the Johnson kids next?
