Kim and Khloe Kardashian are doing their best to respect and support stepfather Bruce Jenner as he makes the transition from male to female.
Sunday night’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians was the first of a two-part special that follows Bruce’s highly publicized transition.
The special also follows the Kardashian-Jenner clan as it very publicly learns to understand and support the former Olympian during his transition (Bruce has not yet indicated that he prefers feminine pronouns). In April, Bruce revealed that for “all intents and purposes, I am a woman,” in a high-profile interview with Diane Sawyer.
In the emotional first episode, Bruce sat down with Kendall, Kylie, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe to get on the same page regarding his transition process. “You can never do this right, ok? There’s no right way to do this,” Bruce tearfully explained to his children.
The episode also featured one-on-one interviews with each family member, where they addressed concerns and admiration for their father.
“I’m more worried about how people are gonna treat him,” Kendall told the camera, tears in her eyes. “I don’t ever want anyone to treat him bad, because he is honestly one of the greatest people I know.”
Kim and Khloe shared live-tweeted the episode, sharing their support for Bruce, and, naturally, making it a little bit about themselves.
Such an emotional KUWTK special tonight. This was filmed incredibly raw and rough. Please take in this is hard for us all to live on TV

The two-part special is a preview of the upcoming eight-episode reality series About Bruce, which will air on July 26 on E!.
