Kimye Welcomes Fourth Child Psalm
In exciting news, Kim Kardashian took to Instagram this afternoon to share the first photo of her newborn son with Kanye West. In the image, a screenshot of her text conversation with Kanye, their baby boy lies in his crib wrapped in white blankets and clothes.
In the caption, Kim announced her son’s name: Pslam West. Pronounced “salm,” Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the word as a sacred song or poem used in worship.” The word also refers to the scriptural text, like the Book of Psalms in the Christian Old Testament or Psalms in the Hebrew Bible.
She and Kanye welcomed their baby boy via surrogate on May 10, as they did for their third child Chicago, who was born last January. Kim and Kanye chose to give birth through a surrogate because Kim previously revealed that she suffered from placenta accreta, a condition where the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall, during previous pregnancies, which makes it unsafe for her to get pregnant again naturally.

Many were left wondering what the inspiration for their baby name was, and the clue might have been revealed during Kim’s appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Kim revealed that she was looking into Armenian boy’s names and liked the idea of perpetuating a family name.
“I was truthfully thinking about just naming him Rob, after my brother, Rob,” Kim said. “My brother approved it.”
