Kim is stepping away from reality TV to save her relationship
Before becoming Mrs. Kanye West, Kim Kardashian West was known as a popular reality TV star on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” for 14 years and revealed that she is giving up her reality TV career after Kanye presented an ultimatum. KKW claims that she created a marriage pact with Kanye to end working on the show that he’s always hated.
The reality show announced that Season 14 will be the final season and will be premiered in 2021. All the members of the family have reservations and reasons to leave the show but Kim has made it clear that her choice was motivated by wanting to save her marriage with Kanye.
In the past, Kanye has expressed his dislike for the life Kim had to live to be a reality TV star and the celebrity couple has experienced personal problems this year. The celebrity couple has experience relationship issues that intensified during Kanye’s announcement of his 2020 presidential run.
For Kanye’s first rally he revealed intimate relationship issues he has with his wife Kim and personal details of their family that enraged Kim. When Kanye announced that he wanted to run for president, Kim requested that he doesn’t involve their family and personal lives for his campaign.
If their relationship wasn’t strained enough, Kanye went on a Twitter rant tweeting negative comments about his wife and other members of the Kardashian-Jenner family including his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner. Shortly after this incident, the celebrity couple decided to take an isolated trip to the Dominican Republic in August to determine whether they could move forward with their relationship.
During the trip, Kim made the decision to leave KUWTK to work on her turbulent marriage. When Kim shared the news with her “momager,” Kris tried to talk Kim out of leaving in the hopes of keeping the reality show going with the fear that the Kardashian empire they built would collapse.
Kris and Khloe explored the idea of carrying the Kardashian legacy on without Kim but realized that KUWTK would be nothing without the sibling that was responsible for launching the family’s fame. Kris and Khloe have tried to convince Kim to stay on the show but she is set on walking away to work on her marriage.
Kanye never felt comfortable with a camera crew filming their everyday lives and has tried to convince Kim to quit the show since they met. Kim revealed that being on the show has caused a lot of problems between her and Kanye with the hopes that being off the show will help their relationship.
