One of the highlights of the “fight of the century,” as sports media dubbed Saturday’s boxing bout between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, actually happened before the fight — it was Jamie Foxx’s rendition of the American national anthem, which some Twitter users called “horrible.”
While Foxx did manage to hit some notes and performed quite a bit of vocal acrobatics, he was generally off-key. Foxx even added a chuckle-worthy “hallelujah” at the end of “The Star-Spangled Banner” for good measure.
Check out some of the following funny tweets about Foxx’s performance, which you can watch in the video, above.
I still can’t believe Jamie Foxx added a “hallelujah” after that horrendous performance. pic.twitter.com/vwYXqj9F0N

im sorry but jamie foxx’s singing was horrible. He made it sound like a parody and what’s with the hallelujah at the end?

Jamie Foxx’s national anthem had more twists and turns than the fight. #MayPac

Jamie Foxx killed the national anthem. And by killed it I mean it was like road kill. #PacWins

Nice job, Jamie Foxx! That was easily better than Horrible Bosses 2!
