Madonna is working on her own biopic
Pop music icon Madonna will be working with Universal Studios to create her biopic covering Madonna’s rise to fame that she will be directing and co-writing. Madonna will be closely working with co-writer Diablo Cody but the title has yet to be revealed.
You might recognize a couple of critically acclaimed movies by Diablo Cody including “Juno,” “Young Adult,” and “Tully.” Madonna will also be producing alongside Amy Pascal who is known for her work with Universal films including “Little Women,” “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” and “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”
Madonna disclosed that the film will focus primarily on the music while telling the story of her rise to fame and how her art helped literally express herself. The movie will cover Madonna’s journey starting with her Catholic upbringing in Michigan and moving to New York that ultimately catapulted her career.
The movie will also cover Madonna’s personal journey to stardom during some of her iconic songwriting, singing, and acting ventures. This movie has a lot of accalids to cover that Madonna achieved including selling more than 335 million records worldwide with 225 prominent global awards of 658 nominations.
Though there are few details on this new biopic, fans will be looking forward to learning more about Madonna Louise Ciccone that will be written and directed by the legend herself.
