Marvel’s latest plans includes Lady Gaga
Marvel has a lot of plans for the “Guardians of the Galaxy,” which means there will be a lot of stories to tell and a lot of adventures to embark on.
In the latest Marvel Universe news, the studios announced that Yondu, one of the original Guardians of the Galaxy, will feature in his own self-titled comic book series. The series is scheduled to launch later this year.
Yondu #1 will be written by Lonnie Nadler and Zac Thompson (works include: Cable, Age of X-Man: Alpha and Age of X-Man: Omega) and illustrated by John McCrea (The Boys and Dead Eyes). Together, they will bring the well-traveled space scavenger’s adventures to life, and fans will be able to learn more about the character than ever before.
“Yondu is such a unique character because so many readers know him from the Guardians of the Galaxy films, and yet his story is almost completely undefined in the comics,” Nadler said in a statement. “He’s a blank slate. We took this as a golden opportunity to simultaneously show readers who Yondu is at his core, while also exploring the criminal underbelly of the greater Marvel cosmos.”
In other “Guardians of the Galaxy” news, there has been a lot of fan wishing for Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga to be re-teamed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after their bond and success as an on-screen couple in “A Star Is Born.” Cooper voices Rocket Raccoon in the Marvel franchise, and many are hoping to see him get a love interest (hopefully voiced by Gaga).
