Marvel May Be Recruiting Keanu Reeves For Upcoming Film
You can argue all you want, but you have to admit at least this much: 2019 is the year of Keanu Reeves. With the releases of “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum,” “Toy Story 4,” his appearance in “Always Be My Maybe” and becoming a character in the new “Cyberpunk 2077” game, fans have to say that Reeves is having one heck of a stellar year.
Not too long ago, there were rumors that the famous Hollywood actor was thinking of joining Marvel, and fans could not hold back their excitement. Well, after much speculation and rumors floating around that there was the potential of having Keanu Reeves join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU boss Kevin Feige finally confirmed that they have had talks with the actor to join the franchise in some capacity.
But more than just joining the MCU as a character altogether, Feige revealed that Reeves has always been involved with Marvel.
“We talk to him for almost every film we make,” the producer told ComicBook.com. “I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.” In other words, Marvel has had their eye on working with the actor for many years, but it was more of finding the perfect role for him.
Many speculate that is Reeved were to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it would be in “The Eternals,” which is part of the studios upcoming Phase Four project. Should he join “The Eternals,” Reeves would be playing opposite Angelina Jolie.
