Marvel Won’t Stop At “Avengers: Endgame”
Okay, so after “Avengers: Endgame,” “Spider-Man: Far From Home” comes out, but what comes after that movie? Ten years of waiting.
Both films mark the end of Phase 3 for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so it will be a little longer for the next Marvel movie to come out, something which people are not as used to at this point. In a recent announcement, Disney revealed the next several years of movie premiere dates — which include another Star Wars trilogy, Avatar sequels, a new Indiana Jones film, Pixar movies, live-action Disney remakes, and Bob’s Burgers (because Fox is Disney now).
It was revealed that the next untitled Marvel film isn’t expected to hit theaters until May 1, 2020, about 10 months after Far From Home. This will be the longest gap without a new MCU film since 2013’s “Iron Man 3,” which premiered a year after 2012’s “The Avengers,” which ended Phase One. Since then, Marvel has released at least two MCU movies a year.
But taking over the MCU after Endgame and Far From Home for a while is the new Star Wars film, “The Rise of Skywalker,” which is coming Dec. 20.
