Miami’s Own Comic Book Brewery
Are you huge comic book enthusiast who loves cracking open a cold one and settling down to watch a Marvel movie or simply dig into the latest issue of “Spider-Man?” If you just so happen to be in Miami, there’s certainly one taproom hidden in the middle of the Wynwood Arts District that offers the most incredible beer selection while feeling immersed in nerd paradise.
J. Wakefield Brewing is an independent brewery offering beer and sours in a comic-like setting. Some iconic menu options include their award-winning beers Miami Madness, which was rated #1 Best Berliner by ratebeer.com and the Dragon Fruit Passion Fruit Florida Weisse, rated #1 Berliner Weisse in the world, also by ratebeer.com.
The brewery features Star Wars-inspired murals and other characters curated by local artists. Artist Claudio Picasso painted the taproom’s original Star Wars mural. His mural portrays 14 classic characters, including Yoda, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, and Darth Vader, all standing around a bar sipping beer and talking.
There are also superhero and villain inspired drinks such as the Russian Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon, Rye, and Brandy Barrels. The beer bottle features a picture of Thanos’ gauntlet.
