Edible Cookie Dough Coming To A Grocery Store Near You

The little kid inside you is surely jumping for joy! Do you remember baking cookies with your parents and wanting to sneak a little bit of that delicious, soft chocolate chip cookie dough? Most packages came with warning labels not to consume raw cookie dough, but kids and parents did it anyways.

Knowing just how popular cookie dough is – we even have cookie dough ice cream –, Nestle Tollhouse decided to roll outa new product that was made just for the cookie dough lover who doesn’t want to catch salmonella or other illnesses.

Nestle Tollhouse has released its new “edible cookie dough,” which comes in two flavors and is designed to be eaten straight from the tub. The best part: no cooking necessary.

The edible cookie dough retails for about $5.50 for a 15-ounce container. The first of the dough has already been made available to Publix, but the food company will expand to Walmart in the Southeast and then to local grocery stores later in the summer.

The two flavors available are chocolate chip and peanut butter chocolate chip monster, which is a combination of peanut butter, oats, and candy-coated chocolate.
