Adi Shankar and Netflix’s gothic anime series based on Konami’s famous “Castlevania” video game franchise proved to be a huge hit when it first debuted on Netflix last year, and fans have been left wanting more since then.
Well get ready for another binge night because the wait for Season 2 is over as the streaming service has officially released all episode of the new season on Oct. 26.
Although the first season was just a self-contained story within four episodes, the promise of its narrative garnered the interest of fans’ imaginations. Luckily, the second season of the series is double the episodes, giving fans eight episodes to het hooked to.
The purpose of additional episodes is welcome new characters.
The story immediately follows the events of the first season, in the wake of Dracula’s army’s attack on Wallachia. However, Season 2 makes complicates things a little because Dracula officially declares war on humanity, leading to the greater introduction of Dracula’s generals and all of the inner politics that it comes with it. Additionally, Simon, Alucard, and Sypha now must head to the Belmont estate in order to figure out how to deal with the looming threat.
The anime series is based on “Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse” from 1989, and the game itself, which is based in 1476 and follows as a hunter known as Trevor Belmont as he tries to take down Dracula, a vampire lording over much of Europe.
