The 25th installment of the 007 franchise
The trailer for “No Time To Die” officially dropped and fans are more excited than ever for the 007 franchise. For the 25th installment of the famous Bond franchise, Daniel Craig is back in intense action, with a caption for the trailer on Twitter reading: “The mission that changes everything begins … #NoTimeToDie.”
Though only two-and-half-minute, the trailer is filled with fast cars, death-defying action, gorgeous people, and scenes from around the globe. In the film, Bond’s retirement in Jamaica is cut short when he is called to rescue a kidnapped scientist.
But Bond is not the only spy on the job; played by Lashana Lynch, the female spy tells Bond to stay in his lane. “You get in my way, I will put a bullet in your knee. The one that works.”
The bounty hunt intensifies because old flame Madeleine Swann (played by Léa Seydoux) has secrets, and a potential new flame, played by Ana de Armas, enters the picture. Then there is the scarred, mask-wearing Rami Malek who is threatening to “eradicate” “millions.”
“No Time to Die” is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, written by Scott Z. Burns, Robert Wade, Neal Purvis, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Waller-Bridge was tapped to “liven up” and “polish” the Bond film after her superb work in bringing to life the assassin Villanelle in “Killing Eve.”
She was specifically by the leading man himself, Daniel Craig. Cary Joji Fukunaga of “True Detectives” took over directing from Danny Boyle, who quit due to “creative differences.”
Bond 25 is officially set to play in theaters in November after being was pushed back seven months due to the coronavirus pandemic. The official release date is November 20, 2020.
In other news, Decca Records has revealed the new album cover for Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack for “No Time To Die,” which has a new release date for November 13, 2020. The soundtrack will include Billie Eilish’s title track “No Time To Die,” co-written with brother Finneas O’Connell.
Prepare to have your martini “shaken, not stirred.”
