The Beer Company That Now Offers Hard Coffee

Alcohol and coffee mixed together? Sounds like an acquired taste for some.
Los Angeles-based brewing company Pabst Blue Ribbon has released a new line of beverages called Hard Coffee, and the drink has now been made available in a few locations as of Monday. However, those interested in trying the Hard Coffee will have to Pennsylvania, Maine, New Jersey, Florida or Georgia, the company said in a tweet.

Pabst Blue Ribbon’s Hard Coffee contains five percent ABV and is made with “rich, creamy milk and vanilla flavor,” according to the company’s website. The drink is sold in 11-ounce cans.

In an interview with Beer Street Journal, PBR Brand Manager John Newhouse said, “Hard Coffee is an opportunity for us to pioneer a delicious and fun new drink and give America something unique.”

Alcoholic coffee drinks are nothing new and spiked coffee cocktails are more than just keeping the drinker awake. Irish coffee is a highly popular and famous drink, but some even enjoy spiking their morning joe for an extra pick-me-up too. White Russians are another alcoholic coffee drink that many people enjoy, and it is often considered a dessert drink.

So, if you’re one to keep the fun going, Pabst Blue Ribbon’s Hard Coffee is certainly a beverage to try.
