Pabst Rolls Out ‘Stronger Seltzer’ And ‘Hard Coffee’ Beverages

Your Favorite Beer Company Just Released New Hard Seltzer and Coffee Drinks

Pabst Blue Ribbon is getting in on the low-calorie, spiked game with “with their latest spiked drink.

If you are looking for a new drink to try out, Pabst Brewing Co. has come out with a new trial launch of an 8 percent-abv hard seltzer under its Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) lager brand. Calling it the “fun and innovative new drink,” Pabst said that the Pabst Blue Ribbon Stronger Seltzer is made with zesty, natural lime flavors and contains fewer calories than other hard beverages despite the increase abv.

A U.S. trial of the stevia-sweetened seltzer kicked off this week in test markets including Arizona, California, Montana, and Texas. The Stronger Seltzer joins other alcoholic sparkling waters that are available on the market such as Anheuser-Busch InBev’s 4.5 percent Bon & Viv and 6 percent Natural Light Seltzer. Boston Beer Co’s Truly Hard Seltzer, which has an abv of 5 percent, is also available on U.S. markets.

John Newhouse, brand manager at Pabst Blue Ribbon, said in a statement that the new drink “delivers big on taste” and is something different that customers can enjoy.

The Pabst Blue Ribbon Stronger Seltzer joins the company’s other recent innovation, the 5 percent-abv Pabst Blue Ribbon’s Hard Coffee, which launched a trial run back in July.
