Ridiculous screaming deer is both hilarious and terrifying

If you thought deer were quiet and adorable, you were wrong.

This deer in Nara, Japan, surprised a group of tourists by emitting a series of long squeaks, not unlike a creaky door. However, things escalated pretty quickly when the deer let out an indignant and blood-curdling SCREAM — which ended up being both hilarious and terrifying. The deer then went quietly back to its business.

Sika deer are popular with tourists in Japan, supposedly thanks to their habit of “bowing” for food. It’s probable that this particular bellowing fellow was just THAT determined to get every last bit of food from this group of tourists, even if he had to resort to shrieking.
