“Zoinks!”
A new “Scoob!” trailer just dropped and gives fans their first fleeting glimpses of the new animated Scooby-Doo movie. “Scoob!”, which is being produced by Warner Bros., will be an origin story chronicling how Shaggy (voiced by Will Forte from “The Last Man on Earth”) and Scooby met.
Scooby – portrayed by longtime voice actor Frank Welker – narrates the trailer with “In a world destroyed by evil, discover the epic origin story of the greatest team of heroes in the history of mystery.”
The trailer shows that the two first meet on a beach when Scooby is a stray. Shaggy immediately names him Scooby Dooby Doo so that a police officer doesn’t take the adorable puppy to the pound.
The duo later meets Fred (Zac Efron), Daphne (Amanda Seyfried) and Velma (Gina Rodriguez), and together as a gang, they embark on crime-solving adventures. But the gang will have to face their biggest mystery yet: Who unleashed the mythological ghost dog Cerberus on the world?
“Ruh-roh!”
The full-length film, directed by Tony Cervone (“Space Jam”) will also feature the voices of Tracy Morgan, Mark Wahlberg, Kiersey Clemons, and Ken Jeong.
Grab a box or 10 of your favorite Scooby Snacks because “Scoob!” will hit theaters on May 15, 2020.
