Beating The Summer Heat With AC Shirt By Sony

Do you sweat easily or hate when temperatures get into the 90s or even the 100s? Staying cool during the day can be hard sometimes, especially when you’re not wearing the right clothes to help keep you cool. But that’s all about to change. Get ready to stay cool in your outfit no matter what time of the day it is.

Sony has unveiled its newest gadget to help keep people cool – the Reon Pocket. The Reon Pocket is a miniature AC that slides underneath your shirt and can lower body temps by as much as 23 degrees. The $117 app-controlled gadget can even serve as a heater during the winter season but is reported to have a battery life of less than two hours.

The wearable AC about the size of a small wallet that tucks into the back of a specially-tailored shirt pocket. The device works using a thermoelectric Peltier element, a technology typically found in wine coolers.

The gadget is currently being crowdfunded by the company’s First Flight program. It has been reported that Japanese consumers will be the first to buy the gadget as soon as next year while the expected release in the U.S. is sometime in late 2020.
