When it comes to equality for girls around the globe, what do you really really want?
A new campaign video, set to Spice Girls ’90s jam “Wannabe,” asks viewers to share what they want for the world’s girls on social media with the hashtag #WhatIReallyReallyWant. The campaign promises to deliver those messages to world leaders during the United Nations General Assembly in September.
Created by Project Everyone and featuring female artists like Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez and R&B trio M.O, the empowering video highlights the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Also known as the Global Goals, the SDGs aim to diminish the impact of some of the most prevalent sources of global inequality by the year 2030, with a heavy focus on issues affecting women and girls.
Several celebrities, including original Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and actress Emma Watson, have already lauded the effort for bringing attention to such an important issue.
