Marvel fans that attended Sony’s panel at Brazil Comic-Con were treated to a first look at the upcoming “Spider-Man: Homecoming” sequel, “Spider-Man: Far From Home.” There was much speculation about whether or not the studio would actually show the trailer, as the film’s events take place following “Avengers: Endgame” and the titular character currently being dead.
Unfortunately, attendees of Brazil Comic Con are the only ones who were able to see the trailer as Sony has not made it available online. Thankfully though, journalists in attendance described briefly what happened.
The trailer features with Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland), Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), and Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), with Happy attempting to flirt with May. The trailer then shows Parker packing for a school trip to Europe and purposely leaving the Spider-Man suit behind.
Peter, along with Michelle/MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon), head to Venice, Italy, where Peter and MJ are seen lightly flirting. When Peter and Ned are in a Paris hotel room, Nick Fury bursts through the window and tranquillizes Ned before recruiting Spider-Man for a mission.
But probably one of the most exiting scenes in the trailer was when the sequence featuring Jake Gyllenhaal’s villain Mysterio fighting alongside Spider-Man to defeat the enemy Hydro-Man.
Are you excited for everything Marvel will be putting out in the coming year?
