Former Manager Of Stan Lee Is Facing Abuse Accusations
A Los Angeles Court official released that the former manager of Stan Lee, Keya Morgan, is being charged with elder abuse against the comic book legend.
According to the Los Angeles Superior Court public information office
Keya Morgan was charged with one felony count of false imprisonment of an elder adult, three felony counts of theft, embezzlement, forgery or fraud against an elder adult and one misdemeanor count of elder abuse.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Morgan, a New York-based memorabilia collector who became involved with Lee in 2017, received a restraining order last year after Lee’s family accused him of elder abuse.
Lee, the co-creator of “Spider-Man,” “Iron Man,” “The Hulk” and dozens of other iconic Marvel superheroes, passed away in November 2018 at the age of 95.
According to court documents from last year, Morgan was accused of seizing control of Lee’s Hollywood Hills home. Morgan was also accused of hiring security guards with orders to keep away Lee’s associates and family, before moving Lee to an unfamiliar condominium to further isolate him.
The court documents state that Adult Protective Services and law enforcement officials visited Lee’s home to perform a “welfare check” on May 30, 2018 to ensure that Lee was healthy and safe. While Lee was being interviewed by officials, Morgan arrived at the residence and security guards refused to let Morgan in.
According to court papers, law enforcement and Adult Protective Services officials went to Lee’s home on May 30, 2018, to perform a “welfare check.” Morgan allegedly arrived at the residence while Lee was being interviewed and security guards refused to let him in.
Morgan then made a false 911 call claiming that there were “three unidentified burglary suspects in his friend’s home who had locked everyone out of the house,” according to the court documents.
