If The Cast Controlled The Ending…
It’s sad to think that one of the longest-running and most beloved television series is coming to an end, but as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. As the Supernatural cast enters their final season, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins shared some thoughts about the main characters’ futures.
After breaking the news in an emotional Twitter video back in March that the series would come to an end in Season 15, the trio is opening up about what they want to see before the book finally closes.
In an interview with TV Guide, Padaleki said he wants the series to feel like it’s going to go on.
“I don’t want Sam to feel like it’s the ending. I want Sam to feel like he’s still making a difference, that he’s still helping other people. And so, I don’t want it to feel like doom and gloom, too much…I want Sam to still fight, to keep fighting and keep supporting his brother and his friends and his family.”
How the show will actually come to an end has not been revealed and it probably won’t be revealed until the final episode, but Collins shared that the ending he thinks makes the most sense is for Sam, Dean, and Cas to die. “I hate to say this but I kind of hope that the main characters on the show die at the end. I feel like we need that finality,” said Misha.
Padaleki added to that sentiment, saying that if the main characters die, he wanted them to go out doing something they love and would make the world a better place. The Season 14 finale set the tone for Season 15, and Ackles said that “It certainly lays a landscape now for anything to happen.”
