The pretty Sailor Guardians comes to YouTube
Anime fans get ready because the first three seasons of Sailor Moon, the famous anime series about girls kicking butt have been released for free on YouTube.
The series originally aired between 1992 and 1995 and is now available on the franchise’s official YouTube. Starting Friday, April 24, 10 episodes were dropped and will continue dropping until all 127 episodes are made available. This means that the entire three seasons of the anime will be ready to watch through from start to finish before the end of July.
The free release comes ahead of the launch of a new Sailor Moon film, “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie.” The two-part movie is set to be released in Japan on September 11 and is based on the original storyline from the manga. This same storyline was later adapted into the anime’s fourth season.
Sailor Moon originally began as a shojo manga series written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi. The series follows the adventures of an Usagi Tsukino, a schoolgirl who transforms into Sailor Moon to search for the “Legendary Silver Crystal.” She leads a group of Sailor Soldiers and together they battle villains to prevent the enemy from getting their hands on the legendary artifact and destroying Solar System.
The release of Sailor Moon on YouTube is part of the growing number of content being made available to help people pass the time while their social distance at home. So far, everything from free games, to free TV shows and movies have been released to help people stay excited, sane, and busy at home.
