Do you have what it takes to whip, bake and decorate a cake?

Calling all-star bakers! If you’re savvy in the kitchen, then you may be interested in applying to be the next contestant on “The Great American Baking Show.” The show, which just wrapped up its fifth season, is currently looking for contestants for next season.

Show producers shared that they are looking for people “with a real passion for baking.” And if you watch “The Great American Baking Show,” and have even binged watched its counterpart from across the pond, “The Great British Baking Show,” then you know just how invested and passionate these star bakers can be.

The application requires the person to submit information about themselves and their baking, along with photos of themselves and their best creations. The application also asks the future contestant to open up about their weak areas.

“While we want to hear about what you’re good at, we also want to know about the areas that you’re not so good at or have no experience in and why. This is purely to get a clearer idea of what kind of baker you are,” the entry page states.

Prospective applicants are also called to shoot and submit a short video (roughly one-to-two minutes) that describes their passion for baking and explaining why they’d be great on the show.

But wait, the application doesn’t stop there; a questionnaire (about 75 questions long) asks about the prospective baker’s achievement(s) in life, their ambitions, details on their former baking disasters, etc. It might sound like a lot, but it’s all for the love of baking! Submissions will continue to be accepted through Tuesday, so be sure to hurry if you want to be on the show!
