KFC brings donuts to all locations nationwide
If you’ve had a burger sandwiched between two doughnuts before, then you’re going to love this new combo KFC is putting out at more than 40 locations in Norfolk and Richmond, Virginia and Pittsburgh.
Called the “Kentucky Fried Chicken and Donuts,” customers will have multiple options to choose from to satisfy their sweet and savory taste buds.
The Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donut Basket meal includes chicken on the bone or chicken tenders, paired with one donut for $5.49. A big basket meal with two donuts costs $7.49.
The Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts Sandwich option features a hand-breaded “Extra Crispy” chicken filet sandwiched between two fully glazed donuts for $5.99. It can also come as a combo meal for $7.99 for the perfect juicy sandwich.
But for those that just want a classic glazed doughnut served hot and fresh to go with any meal, KFC is selling just the doughnut for $1. But hurry because the menu items will only be available for a limited time.
In a press release, the Kentucky Fried Chicken chain said that they were testing the new item to gauge whether customers would like the combination of chicken and doughnuts on a national scale. Currently, the chicken and doughnuts trend has been gaining popularity, but mostly on a local level in certain areas.
KFC is no stranger to bold and delicious food combinations. Last year in May, they introduced Cinnabon Dessert Biscuits for a limited time, and in November 2018, the chicken chain served up a Kentucky Fried Chicken & Waffles combo.
