The 'other' Stephen Colbert is back to defend Trump's budget

If you happen to think Donald Trump’s new budget is harsh or cruel in any way, then you’re clearly wrong.

Stephen Colbert’s super conservative alter-ego visited The Late Show to tell us why.

“Meals on Wheels started in 1972,” he explains in the video above. “And I haven’t checked the stats, but I’m pretty sure all those people are dead now.”

Colbert then moves on to explain that the country’s “food-addicted seniors” haven’t even killed any members of ISIS, before describing the obvious perks of taking away lunch money for low-income school-children.

“Why feed children if they aren’t doing better in school?” he says. “Take the food away and maybe they’ll be hungry for knowledge.”

Can’t argue with that.
