Fitting animals with prosthetic limbs is nothing new, but as with most technology, there has been much advancement in giving animals back the leg up.
Vets at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine made Pete the Parrot the star of the show by fitting him with a prosthetic leg. This 34-year-old parrot was attacked by a fox last year, and lost his foot. Pete didn’t want a cracker, he just wanted to strut around again…and he looks so happy doing it!
