Tina Fey is never wearing a fancy dress on a talk show again.
On Thursday night’s episode of The Late Show, Fey told soon-departing host David Letterman that she wore dresses out of respect for him. With Letterman’s departure, though, Fey said she doesn’t have to try as hard.
“This is my last time wearing a fancy dress on a talk show and conforming to gender norms out of respect for you,” said Fey. “My gift to you is, I want to give you the dress.”
Fey quickly removed her dress, revealing customized Spanx with the words “Bye Dave” and “#LastDressEver” written on them. How’s that for Bossypants?
