I’m trying to remember what the weirdest viral video I ever saw was. It’s difficult because whatever the weirdest one is has more than likely been subconsciously wiped from my memory to protect my sanity. You ever seen that meme image of the guy sitting at a bar contemplating his life? Yeah, that’s me frequently, sans the bar.

I do recall one video I saw once that I never forgot. It was in YouTube’s earlier days when there were a lot of videos of stuff in microwaves. This one in particular involved a dead cell phone in a microwave. After a few seconds, the screen’s surface and plastic casing bubbled up and surged upward, forming a shape that was the spitting image of a demonic skull. It looked like the alien symbiote from ‘Venom,’ it was horrifying, yet I couldn’t look away.

I’ve often wondered if that was some kind of curse video and if some horrible monster is going to crawl out of my microwave one day like the girl in ‘The Ring.’ If that ever does happen, I can only hope I’m quick enough with my own phone to catch a video.
