You may be good at catching ‘em all, but are you good at catching some z’s?
Three years after the Pokémon Go craze boosted Nintendo’s market value, the Pokémon Company has revealed a new suite of products in Tokyo including a new app called Pokémon Sleep. Although little has been revealed about the new app, the Pokémon Company did say that it would track the number of time players spend sleeping and when they wake up, which will all be used in the game, which in turn will affect gameplay.
The app is expected to launch next year, though no date has been specified.
But that’s not the only news the Pokémon Company had for fans and reporters. Its first mobile game in China will be an “enhanced version” of Pokémon Quest, and so far, 1.7 million players have already signed up for for the game since early May. The game is part of a partnership with Chinese developer NetEase.
Furthermore, the Pokémon Company plans to drop more new titles across platforms, including “Pokémon Masters,” a battle game for iOS and Android, and “Detective Pikachu,” a Nintendo Switch game that aims to capitalize on the success of the recently released hit movie.
There will also be a new app for Switch and smartphone devices called “Pokémon Home,” which will allow users to access all their Pokémon games in one place.
Are you excited for all that is to come in the Pokémon world?
