Driscoll’s Is Offering Rose Berries For The Summer
Hold on to your frozen rose drinks because things are about to get even more tantalizing. It’s summer and everyone everywhere is looking for ways to cool off and enjoy all that the summer season has to offer, especially when it comes to producing.
Fresh berries are at peak ripeness this season, and many enjoy pairing fruits with a glass of rosé as they lounge by the pool. But to make things even sweeter, Driscoll’s, a popular berry brand, created the ultimate summer flavor mashup.
Rosé Strawberries and Raspberries can now be found in the produce aisle in select food retailers nationwide. The blush-colored, non-GMO berries are extra sweet and ready for enjoying by the pool or at the beach, but customers will have to get their hands on the produce soon because they’ll only be sticking around until September.
According to a press release, the berries are only in stores for limited time because of the special attention and nurturing required to produce the unique fruits.
For those wondering what these rosé fruits may taste like, the Rosé Strawberries are creamy and silky and have a sweet, peachy flavor with a floral finish. The Rosé Raspberries are a sweeter, golden-red raspberry hybrid with just a slight hint of floral flavor as well.
It’s important to note that while the name and color mimic that of rosé, the fruits do not actually contain alcohol.
