Hallmark Casting Amateur Bakers For New Christmas Baking Show

Hallmark is famous for its seasonal movies, but the channel is trying something a little different this year to make the holidays jollier. Hallmark is searching for the next best Christmas cookie baker as part of its new competition series called “Christmas Cookie Countdown.” The show is currently searching for amateur bakers from all over the country to partake in the show.

Pastry chefs will need to put their best food forward starting at the end of July in Los Angeles as their cookies will be judged by a panel of baking experts. The show will be shooting in Los Angeles from July 29 to August 4.

While there will be different prizes for the winners, the first-place winner will take home a grand prize of $25,000.

“Christmas Cookie Countdown” will feature “some of the most talented amateur home bakers around the country and the most exciting yuletide cookie challenges the holiday season has ever seen,” and will run for five episodes. The panel of judges will be made of three well-known pastry chefs and hosted by a rotating panel of iconic Hallmark faces.
