Calling all horror story buffs…these Reddit horror stories are absolutely terrifying. And, they are only two sentences! How is this possible? Maybe because they are very relatable…and if they were ever to happen to us, well, we wouldn’t know what to do with ourselves. Here are Reddit’s best two-sentence horror stories.
Okay…so what would you do if you heard scratching on your door in the middle of the night, and didn’t have any animals? This subscriber had a less than savory experience with just that:
“Growing up with cats and dogs, I got used to the sounds of scratching at my door while I slept. Now that I live alone, it is much more unsettling.”
Cats and dogs can become the theme of some solid scary stories, but kids have a way of making things easily 10 times scarier, as this subscribers shows us:
“I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, ‘Daddy check for monsters under my bed.’ I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, ‘Daddy there’s somebody on my bed.'”
This last two-sentence story gives us a very grim, albeit probably accurate, depiction of what death may be like…pretty darn lonely:
“I can’t move, speak, breathe or hear and it’s so dark all the time. If I knew it would be this lonely, I would have been cremated instead.”
