Check out the new Australian inmate in 'Orange is the New Black'

In a sneaky teaser, Netflix has shown the world a quick peek of the newest character to join the prison pack in Orange is the New Black.

The quintessential drawl that can be heard in the clip belongs to Australian actress, presenter and model, Ruby Rose. The fifteen-second clip shows 29-year-old Rose in character as Stella Carlin in a heated conversation with lead character Piper Chapman, played by Taylor Schilling.

It is Rose’s breakout role in the United States, and she was close to giving up the American acting dream when she scored the job.

Rose isn’t the first Aussie to hang around the cafeteria at Litchfield Penitentiary in New York, Sydney actress Yael Stone has been hiding behind the thick accent of the character Lorna Morello for the past two seasons.

Season 3 of the hit original series will be arriving on screens on June 12, via Netflix.
