When you think of today’s technology you think about virtual reality, the latest from apple, and even things like 3-D printing. But, when you see what people in the 1980’s and 1990’s thought about when creating technology you will see just how far we have really come. Take ‘Dingbot’ for example, ‘Dingbot’ is based on the lovable 1982 film character E.T. initially produced for a television commercial in Japan.
Now it’s not much of a robot…people in the 80’s and 90’s thought this toy was awesome even though it literally only bumps into objects, spins in circles and beeps. The craziest thing is that people actually thought robots would look like this…check out ‘Dingbot’ in the video above!
