It looks like we have more K-pop collaborations to look forward to before the year is up because 27-year-old British singer Ed Sheeran teased that it was a possibility he could be working with BTS.
In a new video from UK entertainment outlet “heatworld” on Nov. 19, the “Shape of You” singer-songwriter answered “the Internet’s rhetorical questions,” including one that led to him saying that the chart-topping South Korean group may be considering working on one of his songs.
“I actually wrote a song that I think they might be messing with,” Sheeran responded to Twitter user @moonchildontcry’s tweet that read: “I want BTS x Ed Sheeran but when will they ever.”
Sheeran continued to talk about the Korean septet, and gave his thoughts on the band.
“I heard this the other day. But, yea, I don’t know,” Sheeran said. “I really like BTS, though. I think they’re really great.”
While there is no word from BTS’ side about a potential collaboration with Sheeran, it would not be the first time the group worked with a popular British songwriter. Conor Maynard co-wrote the album “Answer: Love Myself,” which was released back in August and snagged a spot on Billboard 200.
