Kate Middleton Started A Women’s Drinking Club In College

Kate Middleton may be a prim and proper Duchess today, but long ago, she was a fun, carefree college party animal just like the rest of us. In fact, Middleton once founded an all-girls social drinking club while she was a student at St. Andrews, according to a 2007 report by The Guardian that was recently resurfaced by Elle Magazine.

“At university, Kate continued to grow in confidence,” The Guardian wrote. The website explained that the future Duchess co-founded the girls’ drinking society because she was “annoyed that the old ones excluded women.”

Kate may have founded the club, but she never lost her head or got out of control with her drinks. She was simply doing what young adults do in college: rebelling.

With news of starting a drinking club back in the day, many fans of the Duchess wondered what her go-to drink is. Middleton’s preferred cocktail of choice, as reported by Elle Décor, is something containing Jack Daniels. Middleton has been known to enjoy a drink known as the ‘Crack Baby,’ which is the signature cocktail served at Boujis, Prince Harry’s favorite nightclub. The drink is a mixture of vodka, raspberry liqueur, passion fruit and champagne, according to Elle Décor.
