The Big Apple is about to get a whole lot sweeter!
On Monday, Krispy Kreme announced that it will be opening the “first-of-its-kind flagship” shop right in the heart if New York City – Times Square. The shop is slated top open in early 2020 and the location is expected to serve more customers annually than any other location in the world.
Michael Tattersfield, Krispy Kreme CEO and president, said in a press release statement published on the Krispy Kreme website, “In the most iconic city in the world, the Krispy Kreme Times Square Flagship will showcase our brand on the global stage and inspire customer wonder.
“We love making awesome doughnuts – and New Yorkers deserve hot and fresh doughnuts!”
The upcoming doughnut shop will 4,500-square feet and located on Broadway and 48th Street. It will also be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and even have stadium-style seating inside. Better yet, the new shop will feature the world’s largest Hot Light, which signals that hot, fresh doughnuts are available.
And to give customers the very best doughnut experience, the restaurant will also showcase the doughnut-making process from how the sweet treats are prepared to going through the famous waterfall glaze.
