Your favorite Japanese characters are coming together for new collab
If you are the type that loves anime and collecting merch, then this is one collaboration you will want to get your hands on as fast as possible.
Sanrio and Funimation are partnering to create an adorable new line of merchandise that combines Hello Kitty & Friends with My Hero Academia. That means that you will be able to see your favorite Hello Kitty characters dressed up as your favorite MHA characters in the form of feature apparel, accessories pins and more.
Ever wondered how Hello Kitty would look if she dressed up as All Might? Well, that will be part of the new line up. Other famous characters to be featured include Pochacco and Badtz-Maru from Sanrio and Izuku Midoriya, and Katsuki Bakugo from MHA.
The new collection will be available this month at stores like Box Lunch, Hot Topic and other select retailers.
Jill Koch, Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Sanrio, Inc. said, “It’s an honor to bring together two Japan-born brands that have inspired fans and audiences worldwide.”
Funimation’s Vice President of Licensing and Merchandise Anna Songco Adamian also released a statement saying that the company was proud to team up with Sanrio to “bring the inner heroes of its iconic characters” through this rand new collaboration that she is sure fans will love.
My Hero Academia was originally created by Kohei Horikoshi in 2014. The story follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without powers who lives in a world where everyone else has powers. Midoriya dreams of becoming a superhero anyway and is scouted by the world’s best hero All Might, and eventually enrolls in a school for professional heroes.
