Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland, the weird old man alter egos of comedians Nick Kroll and John Mulaney, stopped by Bachelor: Live last night.
Kroll and Mulaney have been playing Faizon and St. Geegland since the early 2000s. The characters — two loons from New York City’s Upper West Side — rose to fame on Comedy Central’s Kroll Show via the recurring sketch “Too Much Tuna.” Kroll and Mulaney’s Off-Broadway show, Oh, Hello Live, ran in New York City in December and is currently touring across the United States.
After they joined the roundtable discussion about halfway through Monday’s Bachelor: Live, it was immediately apparent that Faizon and St. Geegland should not have been allowed on the program.
When host Chris Harrison asked if the two had any advice for Season 20’s bachelor, Mulaney launched into a discussion about Googling feet. Meanwhile, Kroll exclaimed, “My toenails look like individual American cheese slices.”
Other notable events from the pair’s appearance included Kroll proposing to recently eliminated contestant Lace with a Werther’s Original and Mulaney calling the contestants “white devils.”
At one point, a noticeably uncomfortable Chris Harrison said, “That’s it, we’ve come off the rails,” and expressed doubt that the show would come back after commercial.
