Spider-Man coming to DisneyLand
Do you love Spider-Man so much that you wish you could also climb walls and swing from the rooftops of skyscrapers?
Well, even though you may not be able to do that in real life, you can still do it at the upcoming Spider-Man ride at Disneyland.
In a new state-of-the-art technology-laden ride, the Spider-Man attraction at Disneyland will let guests shoot webs themselves out of their wrists via immersive technology. The ride takes users on an adventure with Spider-man as he battles to clean up Spider-bots at the Avengers Campus.
Details were revealed by Marvel at New York Comic-Con over the weekend where Disney’s Scot Drake explained that this new attraction will be the first Disney ride-through attraction to feature the web-slinger. The new Spider-Man experience will be featured at Avengers Campus, housed in the Worldwide Engineering Brigade — aka, WEB.
Universal in Orlando and Japan currently have their own Spider-Man ride, but this new attraction will be part of Disneyland’s Avengers Campus theme park. The new Spider-Man ride is set to open at Disneyland in 2020 and Disneyland Paris in 2021.
This new ride is just one of many things Disney and Marvel have in store for their various parks. The former New York-themed hotel at Disneyland Paris is getting a brand-new makeover and will include over 300 pieces of exclusive Marvel artwork; the family coaster “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” in will be opening in Epcot’s first “otherworld showcase; and so much more!
