“The Nightmare Before Christmas” will get a book sequel
The Tim Burton classic claymation Disney movie “The Nightmare Before Christmas” tells the story of Halloween town by the skeleton king, Jack Skellington, but a new sequel story will be told by Sally. In the original movie, the story of Halloween town was told by Jack with Sally as a co-lead but a new book will be starring Sally’s side of the story with a new adventure.

Disney Publishing revealed they will be releasing a new book centered around Jack’s love interest Sally following the events of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” movie. Sally’s story begins as a happy one as she is in a loving marriage with Jack until Sally accidentally lets a mysterious villain loose on Halloween Town.
Sally sets out on a quest as Pumpkin Queen to the other holiday worlds to discover how she could save Halloween Town. The new book will feature some similar characters from the movie while introducing a new cast of strange, grim characters.

The book will be written by young author novel Shea Ernshaw who is known for Winterwood and The Wicked Deep who will be exploring Sally’s inner conflict with discoveries about her past life. Ernshaw explains the new book will be the yet-to-be-told love story of Jack and Sally as well as a coming-of-age story for Sally as she explores the new title of Pumpkin Queen.
Sally will be adjusting to her future as the Pumpkin Queen while understanding how her past has affected her present dreams, desires, and doubt. There are limited details on the release date of the new book but fans will be heavily anticipating Sally’s new story.
